Voter Registration Information for High School Students
Civic engagement is an ongoing learning experience. The Student Voter Registration Act of 2003 (sections 2145-2148) was implemented to ensure every school in California provides students of voting age with a meaningful opportunity to register and pre-register to vote. Students can pre-register (at 16 years old) and register (at 18 years old) to vote through the High School and Youth Initiative.
