Your Rights at School

• Your child has the right to attend public school no matter their or your immigration status.
• School staff will not ask for information or documents about citizenship or immigration status.
• School staff will not share student or family information with immigration authorities unless required by a valid judicial order.
• Immigration enforcement agents cannot enter private school areas without a valid court order or warrant.
• If a parent or guardian becomes unavailable, the school will follow the family’s emergency contact instructions before taking any other action.

Required Public Notice (AB 419 - Education Code  § 234.7)

California law requires schools to post the Attorney General’s Immigration-Enforcement Actions at California Schools: Guide for Students and Families, also known as Know Your Educational Rights, in administrative offices and on school websites.
